Professionally recorded at the November 2000 session at our regular gig at the Hotel Victoria, New Brighton, this CD represents a “farewell showcase” for our lead trumpeter at the time, Jon Critchley. A sample of Jon’s superb playing can be heard on Hoagy Carmichael’s “New Orleans”. Linda Leigh had only just started singing with the band, and is only featured on one track - “I wished on the Moon”. And for something more up-tempo, try Jelly Roll Morton’s “Milenburg Joys” To get the flavour of this disc, click on the underlined titles to hear audio clips.
